Below is a photograph of one of two sister paintings commissioned by the Al Maktoum Institute to commemorate the twinning of Dundee, my home city, and Dubai, the city where I spent some time as a young artist (and painted and presented its ruler, Sheikh Rashid bin Sayed Al Maktoum with his portrait, below). One painting hangs in Dundee the sister in the Dubai Municipality Building.

A supremely relaxing walk in a Scottish bluebell wood. Lie back and enjoy. Very nice with a glass of the best during the dark winter months dreaming of Spring. Lots of textures grab hold of the light, throwing it back at you. It would need a large wall. Professionally framed to a high standard; wooden, antique, gilt, distressed. A touchyfeely painting. Superbly painted.
A large and very pleasing view of a Scottish Loch. Just newly completed and added to our gallery. This is a bird sanctuary and Eddie spent many days at the loch compiling colour sketches and small canvasses before embarking on this rather large canvas. He thoroughly enjoyed the whole process in this quiet hidden haven.
Stunning, dramatic and wonderfully painted, this print depicts the RRS Discovery, a wonderful ship built in Dundee, in full sail and forging on the ill-fated voyage of Capt. Scott and his crew as they sailed to the Antarctic Please click images to get a much better view

PAINTING HOLIDAYS/COURSES When thinking about learning, being taught art, it is important that you like your tutor's art work. Here are a few photographs of a selection of Eddie's paintings and limited edition prints, some of which are available to purchase. Included is a cross section of work to illustrate the variety of mediums and subject matter, a number of which are a result of his travels in the Middle East and Spain and, of course, his home country of Scotland. Others are just plain celebrations of colour and life Whilst every care has been taken to provide an accurate representation of the pictures available for purchase, individual screen sizes and settings may alter individual colour reproduction. In addition, because screen technology is still being improved, occasionally we may be unable to do full justice to some of the images depicted..

This is a selection of some water colour sketches all painted from life in Ojen, a small mountain village in Andalucia and home for us on our painting holidays in Spain. Superbly loose and alive, these sketches are sometimes the most vibrant and pleasing, showing the light and architecture of a typical village in Andalucia today.
