Some examples
of dining out in St Andrews
There is such an abundance of excellent restaurants for you to
choose from in and around St Andrews for an evening dinner (not included).
You will just be mesmerised by the mouth watering choices, the variety
and the quality. Below is the award winning Seafood Restaurant
overlooking the River Tay Estuary as well as other eateries which will
suit all palettes and budgets.
The Seafood Restaurant

Offering
modern, contemporary dining in an outstanding location.
There are
magnificent views over West Sands and the Old Course beyond, and the
North Sea. Seating 60, the tables, of course, look out over the
views, but also have an open theatre kitchen to look at, where Craig
Millar and his team will be cooking in full view.
‘We thought
that this would be a nice feature due to the huge interest in
cooking nowadays, but also because this site was formally an
open-air theatre prior,’ says Craig Millar.
Having
been awarded 2 Rosettes from the AA Restaurant Guide in their first
year, the restaurant is delighted to be awarded our 3rd Rosette in
January 2005.
With windows
from floor to ceiling, the restaurant feels light and airy, but also
will give a sensation of floating, not due to dodgy foundations!,
but due to some clever lighting effects which will really enhance
the site at night. The granite topped kitchen counter reflects by
its aquamarine colour, the natural tones to be found outside on the
shoreline. Our style of service is aimed at removing the stuffiness
often found in restaurants of a similar quality and substituting
warmth and charm. We employ experience, professionalism and
friendliness.
Awards
The
Seafood Restaurant St Andrews has been awarded its 3rd AA rosettes and
was declared:‘Restaurant of the Year for Scotland and Northern Ireland
2004-05’ (AA Restaurant Guide). ‘Newcomer of the Year 2005 for Scotland’
(Good Food Guide).
